Terms of Service

1. Who can use Prose
You must be at least 18 years old to use Prose. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into this agreement. If we discover you are under 18, we will remove your account.
2. Your account and profile
You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile and the security of your account credentials. Photos you upload must be of yourself, recent, and appropriate. Impersonation, fake profiles, and misrepresentation are not allowed.
3. Community standards
We're building a place people actually want to be. That means: no harassment, no hate speech, no threats, no sexually explicit content in photos or messages, no minors, no scams, no solicitation, no illegal activity. Break these rules and we will suspend or terminate your account without refund.
4. Payments and subscriptions
Premium and Elite subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. In-app purchases (Roses, Boosts, Super Likes) are one-time and non-refundable except where required by law. Payments are processed by Stripe; billing disputes should be raised through the payment method issuer or via support.
5. Safety and reporting
Meeting anyone from the internet carries risk. Prose does not conduct criminal background checks. Use good judgment when meeting matches in person: meet in public, tell a friend, trust your instincts. Report abusive behavior with the in-app report tool — we review reports promptly.
6. Content you upload
You retain ownership of the content you upload. By posting it to Prose, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and improve the service. We may remove content that violates these Terms.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, break the law, or harm other users. Active subscriptions are not refundable on termination for cause.
8. Disclaimers
Prose is provided "as is". We don't guarantee you'll find a match, that other users are who they claim to be, or that the service will be uninterrupted. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we'll notify you in-app or by email. Continuing to use Prose after changes means you accept the new Terms.
